Featured Project

The B-4962 project included the replacement of Structure No. 46 over the Eno River on US 70 Bypass near Hillsborough, NC. The total project length is 0.251-miles which involves replacing the existing US 70 Bypass bridge over the Eno River in the existing location by utilizing an on-site detour and associated traffic control phasing to accommodate the high traffic volumes, and extending an existing concrete box culvert.

For this project, our team provided geotechnical engineering, roadway design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design, and erosion control design services. The project also included the avoidance of environmental resources, conservation easements, and environmental document project commitments which were carried forward throughout the design process. Summit coordinated directly with NCDOT Division 7 staff on design reviews and constructability considerations, NCDOT’s Utility consultant for utility coordination and relocation and NCDOT’s Traffic Control consultant for the Work Zone Traffic Management Plan.
