Our construction materials testing and special inspections department provided Special Inspection (SI) services for the UNC Porthole Alley Renovation. We provided Special Inspection services consisting of performing observations and testing related to earthwork and grading, backfill compaction testing, proof-rolling observations, subgrade evaluations, reinforced concrete testing, and asphalt paving operations.
Access to this site was very limited to existing adjacent structures. The construction schedule for this State Construction project was also phased over a long duration to minimize local impacts for end users.
