Landscape Architecture Overview
Landscape Architecture is more than just beautiful vistas and purposefully place greenery, it’s the art of placemaking – ensuring that the spaces we design are attractive, functional, and sustainable for all of its various users. Our passion for tailoring spaces for the end users drive our site, landscape, and amenity design. Our team has a wide range of experience working with pivotal, community-oriented projects, such as large universities, senior living communities, national chain stores and warehouses, multi-family developments, and single-family and townhome sub-divisions. Our Principal Landscape Architect, Tim Guadagno, has worked closely on big and small projects with Koury Corporation while employed with his previous firm.

Civil Enginering Overview
Our project teams, lead by Department Managers with decades of experience, guide projects through the design, permitting, and construction administration. Both our Hillsborough and Raleigh Teams have experience working within the Triad on subdivisions, institutions, and retail as well as time with local municipalities and government. Our group of engineers and landscape architects work closely together on projects as large as 1600 lot subdivisions in Stokesdale to intimate wedding venues. We have professionals specializing in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Roadway Design, and Stormwater Compliance, as well as separate geotechnical, surveying, and construction materials and testing departments to back up our designs.

Surveying has been a core service of Summit since our firm’s very inception. This long history enhances our unique perspective on surveying and the impact it has on other disciplines, allowing us to work cohesively with the other service departments to deliver comprehensive, full-service projects to our clients. The Summit Geomatics department provides surveying services tailored to private and public clients for a variety of projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. Our advanced technical capabilities combined with decades of experience positions us to collect, analyze, and interpret survey data efficiently and efficiently so that we can meet even the most aggressive schedule.
We bring our best to every project to ensure that our clients have the most accurate and up-to-date data to work with. That’s why Summit’s Survey and Geomatics team utilizes state-of-the-art equipment that allows us to collect the most accurate information and high-definition surveys. We also provide survey verification services utilizing the latest technology, so that we can verify contractor-performed construction staking is thorough and accurate.
Our services include wet utilities, drainage structures, pipe culverts, culvert and wall structures, bridges, and sign S-dimensions. We also verify roadway staking including slope stakes, fine grades, blue tops, and curb and gutter.
