Where environmental wellbeing meets community connection.

At Summit, we strongly believe in improving and enriching the communities we serve. We achieve this by ensuring that every project we work on has minimal impact on the environment so that future generations can enjoy these projects for decades to come. Our commitment to being environmentally conscious and sustainable is reflected throughout our service areas, from utilizing permeable pavements to using the Pathfinder tool to mitigate our carbon footprint. We also have the inaugural Stormwater Planning & Compliance team to take our capabilities to new, sustainable, and community-oriented heights. That’s the dedication you can expect from Summit- one that seamlessly blends utility, safety, and function while benefiting the world we call home.

Meadowmont Farms
Due-Dilligence Study
When Hillsborough, North Carolina sought to turn this 89-acre parcel of land into an educational and recreational community space, we performed a due-diligence study to create a conceptual base for the desired amenities, all while ensuring that protected features would remain in-tact. ►
Cape Carteret Comprehensive and CAMA Land Use Plan Our planning team brought Cape Carteret's community vision
to life alongside critical sustainability strategies, which were
included to mitigate future storm damage and protect water quality. ►
Audubon Drive
sidewalk Addition
We created a new road design that includes a storm drain network
and improved sidewalks to enhance pedestrian safety on this
multimodal corridor without inhibiting access to local businesses. ►

A tool like GIS is only as good as the data behind it. Our team of experts know and understand the data components needed to build the maps to answer the right questions to inform the decision-making process. That's why Summit uses what we call the 5 W’s of GIS – who, when, what, where, and why – to support our clients and develop maps that provide answers to their specific challenges. We also use maps to show existing land use, infrastructure, planned improvements, zoning, and other critical data points. We can show demographic data and overlay it with physical or programmatic features.
