Churton Street Access Improvements

Summit provided design and construction management services to achieve the Town’s vision for the Churton Street access improvements. Our team ensured all project elements met state standards including accessibility improvement through ADA-compliant sidewalks, curb ramps, and intersection signals; safer traffic circulation by adding dedicated bus stops, loading zones, and Reconfiguration of off-street parking lots; sidewalk widening to support outside dining options; refuse containers to promote recycling; preservation of historic features; along with streetscape landscaping with pollinator plantings in accordance with the Town’s Bee City initiative.

The public and private stakeholders worked together to modernize this downtown infrastructure in accordance with today’s sustainable and inclusion values which preserves this historic district’s role as the center of economic development for another century.
