Summit and Blyncsy Reach New Exclusivity Deal Across Multiple States
[Hillsborough, NC] — Summit Design and Engineering Services, Inc., and Blyncsy, Inc., are furthering their partnership by entering into an exclusive service agreement for North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. This partnership extends Summit’s expertise and capabilities to clients in these states, where the firm will assist the Department of Transportation and other government agencies in collecting data for and maintaining safety-critical transportation infrastructure.
This newly enhanced agreement builds upon a previous partnership established between Summit and Blyncsy in 2022 involving Payver, Blyncsy’s revolutionary new technology. Payver can automatically detect the presence and intensity of cracking, striping conditions, and potholes using machine vision. The automated PASER assessments, AI-PCI, and cracking rates done by Payver come within 1% of LiDAR accuracy at only 10% of the overall cost. Furthermore, the automated, crowd-sourced imagery used by Payver has the potential to replace over 70% of physical surveying, leading to a direct reduction in carbon emissions from manual inspections while increasing rider safety.
By utilizing Payver technology, Summit can harness AI to transform and improve dashcam footage to detect flaws and degradation in pavement and roadway assets. This innovative new process will extend the usable life of existing transportation infrastructure by detecting roadside assets that require maintenance in near real-time, streamlining the process of identifying and reporting issues to municipalities.
Summit, which maintains a robust maintenance management department, is committed to providing state-of-the-art services and technologies to clients. This expanded partnership with Blyncsy is an exciting opportunity to build on this commitment, which will provide smarter, safer, and more responsive transportation management to drivers across multiple states.
