Building Community Connections, One Project at a Time.

At Summit, we see every project as an opportunity to strengthen connections—between neighborhoods, between people, and between the places they love. Whether designing a greenway that weaves through a natural corridor, improving pedestrian routes for safer and easier access, or assessing pavement conditions to ensure smooth, reliable travel, our goal is the same: to create infrastructure that serves communities well into the future. We approach each effort with a focus on long-term sustainability, integrating solutions that minimize environmental impact while enhancing day-to-day life. From innovative pavement strategies to thoughtful design that encourages walking and biking, we bring together utility, safety, and beauty in ways that reflect the unique character of each community we serve.

Hillsborough
Ridgewalk Greenway
In 2022, Summit was selected by the Town of Hillsborough to conduct a feasibility study
to evaluate potential alignments, design elements and constructability of key connecting
points for a multi-use greenway providing access for bicycle and pedestrian connectivity
between downtown Hillsborough and neighborhoods south of the Eno River and I-85.
Town of Hillsborough Pavement Condition Survey Summit has prepared the annual capital improvement program which involved assessment
and remediation of roadway pavements within the Town’s limits. The PCS was utilized and updated
for determining repair methods and quantities for the seasonal paving contracts. Once the paving
and repair work proceeded, we managed all inspection and testing in accordance with NCDOT specifications.
Waterstone Community Restrooms Our Architecture department designed the restroom facilities in the public park of Waterstone,
a 330 mixed-use development, adjacent to the soccer field. The restroom facility was designed
using all exposed glue-laminated wood frame construction, steel joinery, and cedar tongue and groove siding.
