GIS Services

A tool like GIS is only as good as the data behind it. Our team of experts know and understand the data components needed to build the maps to answer the right questions to inform the decision-making process. That’s why Summit uses what we call the 5 W’s of GIS – who, when, what, where, and why – to support our clients and develop maps that provide answers to their specific challenges. We also use maps to show existing land use, infrastructure, planned improvements, zoning, and other critical data points. We can show demographic data and overlay it with physical or programmatic features.

Edon Fitness & Training Commerce City, CO Passionate about fitness, the client wanted to create a facility that provided people a place to escape everyday life to enjoy some sports, unwind, and recover from their hectic lives. This 11,600 square foot building features a 5,600 square foot gym area, a group exercise room, a mezzanine designed for cardio workouts, and offers a dedicated recovery therapy and message services. Commerce City, NC 2.4M 11,600 ft² Eden Social Denver Tucked into a historic brick building in downtown Denver, this two-story, 4,200 SF space is a destination for both fine eats and elegant night life. Summit used exposed wooden columns, decorative metal railings, cream-colored brick veneer walls, and monochrome flooring, with a green vegetative canopy and bronze window panes offer rustic touches above a banquet seating area. A unique arrangement of dim lighting fixtures create a relaxed space after sundown. Denver, CO 4,200 ft² Metta Wellness Center Denver For this project, Summit is providing an adaptive re-use and expansion of the existing structure to house a new five-star wellness spa and recreation facility. The space is divided up onto three separate levels. The lower level includes a pool, spa, and associated spaces; the plaza level includes fitness spaces, locker rooms, offices, and reception; and the upper level includes fitness spaces, a gymnasium, and a basketball court. Denver, CO 3.2M 33,000 ft² The Picklr Facilities Colorado and Wyoming Summit has partnered with the Picklr franchise to expand their locations across Colorado and the US. The program involves branding, redevelopment, and renovation of existing commercial real estate buildings for numerous new pickleball venues. Each venue features between 10-14 professional indoor tournament courts, a pro-shop, community rooms, offices, and support spaces. Various Locations Metta wellness center render.

I began my career in software working on a software development team which developed Surveying and Civil Engineering Software for nearly seven years. I then moved into Civil Engineering Design and have worked mostly in land development for private clients. I have about 9 years experience in Land Development. The areas which I have the most experience are Grading Design and Plans, Utility Design and Plans and Roadway Design. I have experience in commercial and residential.

Norvic Flex Facility | Johnstown, CO | Civil Engineer
Leading civil design effort for a private 2,000 SF mixed use warehouse on a 2-acre site. Included Grading Plans, Utility Plans and Grading Erosion and Sediment Control Plans. Also drafted Drainage Conformance Letter and performed drainage conformance calculations by utilizing existing infrastructure and designing drainage based on existing constraints. Coordinated with city officials for submittal.

Tower Plaza | Denver, CO | Civil Engineer
Leading Design effort on a multi-use commercial site which includes grocery store, restaurant, hotel and additional retail units. Developed Grading Plans for a steep site, incorporating retaining walls and deepened foundations while maintaining ADA compliance. Drafted Utility Plan, drainage calculations and Drainage Conformance Letter. Coordinated with city officials and engineers as well as master developer design review committee.

KK Plaza at Victory Ridge | Colorado Springs, CO | Civil Engineer
Leading Design effort on a multi-use commercial site which includes restaurants, and individual retail units. Developed a Grading Plan with multiple units at different elevations based on slope of site while maintaing ADA compliance. Leading Design on Utility Plan, drainage calculations and Drainage Report. Coordinated with city officials and engineers as well as master developer design review committee and neighboring developers.

Leadership in Energy and Enviro Design, AP

With almost three decades of experience in civil design for land development, Russ has been designing, permitting and assisting in the construction of municipal, commercial, institutional and residential projects across the Southeast. He began his career in metro Atlanta, designing infrastructure and facilities ahead of the Olympics, and continued working with varied clients and municipalities, designing the built environment to be lower impact and sustainable. Since relocating to Asheville in 2010, he is known as an authority on water quality and floodplain regulation, previously serving as the Stormwater Manager for the City of Asheville. In that capacity, he assisted with the redevelopment of several parks and managed the repair, reconditioning and expansion of critical infrastructure to reduce the flood risk for residents. He understands building for resiliency in the floodplain as well as blending functional engineering needs into an aesthetic environment. Russ has deep experience in municipal and private development, as well as compliance with ADA regulations.

River Village Development Community Pool and Playground | Burlington, NC |Civil
Russ provided Civil Engineering and site design services for this single family housing development. The scope includes the development of approximately 130 acres, to provide a single family home on each lot, a club house, pool, open space and landscape areas, roadways, sidewalks and walking trails, and various stormwater control measures for detention and water quality treatment.

Edon Fitness | Commerce City, CO | Civil Engineer
Russ assisted with the site planning and construction administration for a new 12,000 sq. ft. fitness center on a 2-acre plot in Commerce City, Colorado. Site design efforts include a future phase building addition, a parking lot of 25 spaces with future phased expansion, truck bay, landscaped open space, and service access.
