Summit supplies a team of NBIS-certified inspectors to the NC Department of Transportation for structure inspection and management across the state. Our team utilizes an internal GIS mapping system and database to coordinate and schedule the structure inspections. We provide data management, GIS collection, and Wigins Data entry for structures and coordinate with Center DOT Structures Management Unit to complete and verify our inspections. Furthermore, we collaborate with Division Bridge Maintenance units to assist with needed repairs. Our team follows all DOT regulations and documents all DOT program inspection results to ensure the maintenance units do as well.
