Project Description

As a sub-consultant on the District 9 On-Call CEI contract, Summit is providing a Level III Technician to support the WVDOH on the $15.2M rehabilitation of this 1,660-foot-long Warren Truss structure over the Kanawha River between Kanawha (District 1) and Fayette (District 9) Counties. Bridge rehabilitation provides substantially extended service life at the fraction of replacement costs.

Summit’s technician is responsible for reviewing and assuring quality contractor performance for replacement of bearings, expansion dams and structural drainage items, and steel repair; blasting, priming, and coating of the steel structure; applying concrete protective coatings and LED lighting installation.
