Greenville Signal System Upgrade

As it’s population grew and its signal system reached over ten years of age, the City of Greenville sought consultants to expand and rehabilitate its systems. Our ITS/Traffic Engineering department is part of the team designing the expansion and rehabilitation. The project comprises 155 signalized intersections, 24 CCTV cameras, and 58 miles of fiber optic cable.

Our team will design the entire Ethernet-based, single-mode fiber optic communications system, CCTV camera system, and 14 traffic signal plans. The new cameras installed at the intersections will combine the collection of movement data (like turning movements or car counting) with traffic surveillance, allowing the City to gather more streamlined data.
