NCDOT I-73 Greensboro Outer Loop

We are currently the prime consultant for the I-73 Design-Build QA/QC contract. We provide assistant resident-level staff, engineers, and technicians to this project currently, with our excess level being 25 members at once. Our section is 10.5 miles of the new location with 14 bridges, six culverts, and sound and retaining walls.
This project has multiple challenging features to it. First, a few of the bridge structures are specialty types, with one being a taxiway for the Greensboro PTI airport. Next, a few portions of this construction are in environmentally sensitive areas crucial to the local ecosystems, which requires us to use delicate procedures to maintain its integrity. Finally, the construction contains 36,000 linear feet of micro-piles, the largest on any project within North Carolina. Along with CEI, we provided surveying and survey-grade verification services for this project.
