Featured Project
Chatham County Central Services Building
Recently, Summit was chosen to help the Chatham County School District shape its community by building a 38,000-square-foot Central Services Building. This project will spur collaboration among education leaders, teachers, and parents to provide the best education possible for the children of Chatham County. Our children are the future, and by providing them with a sound education, Chatham County is working to improve its communities.
We serve as this project’s Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspections team, partnering with great industry allies such as CRA Architects, LHC Structural Engineers, and T.A. Loving Company. This project will take 12 months to complete.
Our Labs
Summit maintains a cutting-edge construction materials testing lab in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Our CMT lab is managed by a Professional Engineer and staffed with certified personnel well-versed in construction materials testing and how it translates to use in the field.
Summit’s state-of-the-industry materials testing laboratory in Hillsborough is accredited through the AASHTO Accreditation Program and NCDOT Tier I and II. Maintaining this accreditation requires participation in a rigorous Laboratory Assessment Program (LAP), yearly Proficiency Sample Programs (PSP), and the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP).
